Our vision is to create a process of innovation and collaboration to bridge basic science to applied and translational research solutions for ongoing scientific challenges

At the BioInnovations Institute we facilitate innovative, collaborative breakthroughs in molecular diagnostics and potential disease detection technologies resulting from scientific investigations. We are an expert research and development consulting group servicing the biotechnology, pharmacology, industrial, manufacturing, and consumer product sectors.

About Us

The BioInnovations Institute has a dedicated imaging and analysis facility with a multichannel confocal microscope, field emission SEM with EDAX as well as a fully outfitted basic science laboratory. We specialize in multi-parameter imaging (TEM, SEM, EDAX, Fluorescence, brightfield imaging, etc.), supporting basic research projects.

Worldwide Experts

Our Team

Dr. Uschi Graham

Principal Investigator

Dr. Graham is an expert in basic scientific investigations using high resolution electron microscopy and elemental spectroscopy in context with potential toxicologic response in neural tissue

Dr. Gunter Oberdorster

Principal Investigator

Dr. Oberdorster is renowned for nanotoxicology research investigating biological effects and underlying mechanisms of inhaled exogenous nanoparticulate induced responses in neural tissue

Dr. Xiadong Wang

Research Scientist

Dr. Wang is immunohistochemical staining specialist in the analysis of specimens and identify regions of interest using antibody labelling of cells and inflammatory cytokines using multiplexed antigen retrieval methods.

Dr. Rick Rogers

Principal Investigator, Co-Founder. Director of Research

Dr. Rogers has developed high throughput analysis techniques to investigate cellular signaling molecules using a new class of bio responsive probes, designed to bridge the high risk, high impact research in molecular diagnostics and cancer detection technologies with your well-developed basic science investigations of biochemical mechanisms.

Christopher St.George

Research Engineer, Electrical Engineer

Mr. St.George constructs 3D image data from serial optical sections and image data from SEM/EDS to identify landmark features in adjacent serial sections for hotspot identification. Identified subregions to be prepared for ultrastructural analysis.

Board of Directors

01

President, Co-Founder, Director of Operations.

Kurt Yankaskas

Mr. Yankaskas brings considerable research management systems development experience from his previous positions as the Program Officer for the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Noise Induced Hearing Loss R&D Program and program manager for Naval Sea Systems Command.

02

Director

Jeff Komrower

Mr. Komrower has extensive program management in testing and analysis programs on US Navy aircraft carriers to reduce noise and vibration levels on gallery deck and to study and reduce noise levels in hydroelectric powerplants for the US Dept. of the Interior, Bureau of reclamation.
